3-Yard Roll-Off Dumpsters
The 3-yard roll-off dumpster is ideal for small construction projects, one-time household and garage clean-ups, or for tight buildings sites where a larger dumpster will not fit.
The approximate overall dimensions of a 3-yard dumpster are: 6 feet long by 3.5 feet wide by 4 feet high. Please see the dumpster dimensions graphic, below. This size dumpster is what is commonly seen in alleyways, behind apartment buildings, and servicing small businesses. The dumpster is moveable by one person and can easily be rolled down a driveway to the back of a home or garage. View our dumpster delivery video below to get an idea of the area required to deliver a 3-yard dumpster. If you are unsure if the access is adequate, please contact CWS Customer Service.
Acceptable materials include: All types of Non-Hazardous Construction and Demolition (C&D) materials such as wood, metal, and plastic, drywall, green waste, cardboard, and household items including small furniture and small appliances (excludes the City of Los Angeles – unless household debris are mixed with construction and demolition debris). "Inert" (meaning non-organic) materials such as concrete, dirt, asphalt, sand, brick, block, ceramic tile, clay tile, stucco (no wire mesh), plaster, etc. are allowed only in very small quantities. Please contact CWS Customer Service to further discuss your exact needs.
If you have "Inert" materials for disposal, CWS suggests using three 1-yard dumpsters or one 10-yard (low-boy) dumpster. Examples of inert materials include concrete, dirt, asphalt, asphalt shingles, sand, brick, block, ceramic tile, clay tile, stucco (no wire mesh), and plaster.
Maximum weight limit is 500 pounds. Should your dumpster weight exceed 500 pounds, we may not be able to physically move it, thus a "Trip Charge" may result. Please view our Dumpster Tips page for more detailed loading instructions.
