INERT RECYCLING AND RATES
The CWS State of California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) and CalRecycle permitted recycling facility is open to the public every day of the year except major holidays. We are operational more hours than any lower Los Angeles County facility and we do not close due to inclement weather.
The CWS facility is conveniently located at the center of four freeways directly adjacent to the 110 freeway in Gardena.
Mixed Inert or source separated Inert waste (inert is defined as non-organic) may be delivered from any location in a vehicle of any size.
Inert materials include: dirt, concrete, asphalt, sand, rock, brick, block, ceramic tie, clay tile, glass and stucco (no wire mesh).
Contamination of the load is limited to 10 percent. Contamination waste materials constitute anything organic such as trash, plastic, wood, roots and grass.
The facility rates are as follows:
| Mixed Inert: | $30.50 per ton (one ton minimum) | The material may include brick, block, sand, tile, concrete, dirt, etc. |
| Clean Concrete: | $27.50 per ton (one ton minimum) | The material size must be 2 feet by 2 feet or smaller, with any rebar or mesh cut within 1 inch of material. |
| Clean Dirt/Sand: | $23.50 per ton (one ton minimum) | The material may not include roots, grass, organics, or trash. |
| Clean Asphalt: | $26.50 per ton (one ton minimum) | The material may not include concrete, dirt, or trash. |
Environmental and fuel surcharges are not included in rates. All taxes are included.
