California Waste Services

The CWS State of California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) and CalRecycle permitted recycling facility is open to the public every day throughout the year except on major holidays. We are operational for more hours than any lower Los Angeles County facility of this type and we do not close due to inclement weather.

The CWS facility is conveniently located at the center of four freeways directly adjacent to the 110 freeway in Gardena.

Mixed C&D or source separated waste material may be delivered from any location in a vehicle of any size. Please click here for a list of acceptable materials.

The facility disposal rates are as follows:

Mixed C&D:	$73.00 per ton (one ton minimum)	The material may include all types of wood, drywall, metals, insulation, carpets, bricks, etc. - mixed.  Click here for a complete list.
Wood Waste:	$36.50 per ton (one ton minimum)	The material may include nails, screws, light gage hardware, paint (non lead), Formica, etc. The material may not include metal pieces over 1/4" diameter, heavy metal pieces, or steel plate. Nails and screws ok.
Drywall:	$36.50 per ton (one ton minimum)	The material may include nails, screws, paper backing, and paint (non lead). The material may not include metal or trash. Nails and screws ok.
Scrap Steel:	Market rate. No minimum weight.
Cardboard:	Market rate.
Plastic:	No Charge. No minimum weight.	All ridges and film acceptable. No PVC and Plexiglas for no charge.
Clean Concrete:	$27.50 per ton (one ton minimum)	The material size must be 2 feet by 2 feet or smaller, with any rebar or mesh cut within 1 inch of material.
Clean Dirt/Sand:	$23.50 per ton (one ton minimum)	The material may not include roots, grass, organics, or trash.
Mixed Inert:	$30.50 per ton (one ton minimum)	The material may include brick, block, sand, tile, concrete, dirt, etc.

Environmental and fuel surcharges are not included in rates. All taxes are included.
